VNPT has recently accompanied and coordinated with Quang Ninh Provincial Police and Viettel to give 135 smartphones to poor and near-poor households in Binh Lieu district. This is one of the practical activities to support ethnic minority communities in the area in accessing and implementing digital transformation, an important task in the current technological age.
Binh Lieu district, where the majority of ethnic minorities live, is facing a lot of difficulties in accessing digital services. This smartphone giving program not only helps disadvantaged households have the opportunity to access modern technology but also contributes to narrowing the digital gap between regions, bringing information and knowledge closer to the people.
Within the framework of the program, VNPT has actively supported people to change 4G sim cards for free and change 4G devices to improve connection quality. At the same time, VNPT also coordinated to guide and install the VNeID application, helping people easily carry out administrative procedures and access online public services.
This smartphone giving program this time demonstrates the spirit of social responsibility of VNPT, and also affirms the unit's commitment to accompanying the government and local units to promote digital transformation in difficult areas. This is also an opportunity for VNPT to continue affirming its pioneering position in digital transformation, bringing practical values to the community.
